I love pets, but only if someone else is doing the work and paying the vet bills, so we don't have any!
There is a stray that comes to our garden, so I give it milk and since the weather turned cold I've been giving it some meat or fish or chicken soup (it loves the stuff!) every day. Don't know whether it's male or female because it's really scared of people and won't come near enough to see. I was looking at it through the window today and I thought its eyes looked really cloudy, so maybe it can't see too well. When it first came it used to leave the garden as soon as it heard the key in the lock, but now it just goes halfway down until I close the door and comes before I even lock it. Still won't come close if the door's open though.
The cat has a collar and a bell but I've never see what's on it. It's quite thin so I reckon the bell frightens any prey away. The kids have an old plastic seesaw out back that they haven't used for ages and it shelters under it in bad weather. If I'm late putting the milk out in the morning the d**n thing sits outside the kitchen door meowing loudly until it sees me, then legs it down the garden until I've closed the door again! How rude.....

Hey, weird, I actually typed the d**n out in full, but the forum put two ** in the middle! I'd forgotten it used to be a swearword. Bizarre......

We often get birds in our garden, there was this one that couldnt fly and we got a water gun for when the magpies came to eat him!!! it was so funny, we put him in a cardboard box at night LOL. poor thing
