Pushed to the limit, Lolly lashes out at her abusive stepmother
Lolly is horrified when her abusive stepmother, Sandy, arrives at the Bishop house for an extended visit. Determined to end the cycle of physical abuse once and for all, a desperate Lolly (Adelaide Kane) decides to sabotage what she believes to be Sandy’s car. “It’s got to the point where Lolly can’t live like this anymore, and this is Lolly’s way of dealing with what’s been happening,” Adelaide says. “Trying to sabotage her car is a way that Lolly can avoid directly confronting Sandy and actually coming face to face with her because she’s so terrified of this horrible woman.”
When that plan fails, however, Lolly ends up having a confrontation with Sandy (Catherine Hill) by the Bishop pool. “When Sandy becomes aggressive and goes to hit her again, this inner strength within Lolly suddenly comes out and she strikes back,” Adelaide reveals. But things take a shocking turn when Lolly pushes Sandy into the pool, and Sandy ends up floating face down in the water, after hitting her head on the side! What has Lolly done?
