Susan accepts Karl's marriage proposal on the London Eye - but will Izzy crash the wedding?
The sights and sounds of London continue to feature in Neighbours this week, as Karl Kennedy at last pops the question to his ex-wife, Susan Kinski, on the London Eye! Meanwhile, unbeknown to the happy couple, Karl's former fiancée, Izzy Hoyland, is also living under the shadow of Big Ben - with a very obvious baby bump. And there are sure to be fireworks when the three of them come face to face...
"There are lots of dramatic moments where Karl and Susan almost cross paths with Izzy, only to narrowly avoid meeting her," explains Alan Fletcher, who plays Karl. "Karl's attempts to ask Susan to marry him are also fraught with problems. After nearly losing the ring over the side of a bus last week, he finally manages to propose on the London Eye on a beautiful, sunny day. And luckily, Susan says yes!"
While viewers will see Izzy on her uppers and sleeping on park benches, it's revealed that she's recently been living the high life and conducting an affair with a famous - and married - footballer! But what's her baby secret?
"With all the history the two of them share, Izzy's the last person Karl wants to see - he doesn't want her to spoil his renewed happiness with Susan," sighs Alan. "However, the baby's like a loaded gun - you don't know when the bullets are going to start flying!"
