I like Leona a lot, think she's a great talent, but I hated every one of the songs she sang in the final! I really don't like that whole Whitney Houston/Mariah Carey/Celine Dion/let's see how many high notes we can screech into one syllable sound. She's much more versatile than that, and that came through far better in the heats than in the final.

HATE the single, although she sang it a lot better than Ray, it didn't suit his voice at all.

Love Ray. I think he also has a big career ahead of him but more as a performer than a recording artist. He is a huge presence on stage and I think he'll be selling out concerts for a long time to come. There's an enormous market for his kind of music, especially now that the original artists are dying out - there's pretty much only Andy Williams left!

Ben could also make it big, but for me he doesn't have quite the talent of Leona or personality of Ray, so he'll have to work a little harder. Still, of the 3, I think his kind of music is the one I'd be most likely to buy.

Did anyone else despise Simon and Louis this year? I've always enjoyed their sparring, but this year they seemed to be using the performers as a way of scoring points off each other and I thought it was very unfair and very unprofessional. I wasn't crazy about either the McDonalds or Eton Road (frankly, I thought they were awful!), but I thought Simon was way too personal in his remarks, and Louis was just as bad with some of his. Time they both grew up.

It was obvious that he voted him off out of spite. I think that Ben is ok but his voice would be better in a band.
